Right now I am mainly doing two things: working more carefully on the autonomous-vehicle and visual-localization problems in front of me, and preparing for graduate study in Japan. They may not look closely related, but both are teaching me how to turn a vague idea into something testable, explainable, and worth reviewing.

This is where I keep project revisions, failures, and validation, along with Japanese study, social observations, and eventually travel and daily life. They do not have to lead to the same conclusion; they all belong to the time I am living through.

I do not want to write every item as if it were finished, or pretend that every step was certain. Sometimes a system runs only by accident. The parts I understand later are worth adding back, too.

If some of these judgments feel immature when I return to them later, that is alright. At least they were thought through seriously at the time.
